Regional Chair Appointment for Roland

A Kent businessman has been appointed as regional chairman for an organisation recognised by government as the voice of the bus and coach industry.

Roland Eglinton, third generation of his family to be involved in running Chalkwell Coach Hire & Tours of Sittingbourne, is the Confederation of Passenger Transport’s new Regional Chairman for London and the South East.

Roland, 38, who was appointed at the CPT London and South East annual meeting in London , said today:  “I am delighted to have been made chairman and I hope to carry on the good work of those who have held the position before me.”

He was Chalkwell Operations Manager for 12 years before emigrating to Australia in 2010, returning two years ago as the firm’s Commercial Director.
