Thank you for attending the 2026 conference!
Each and every person that came to Blackpool has my deep and sincere thanks because I now have a lasting memory of the SME sector’s peerless comradery.
The work to build and execute a conference where there are 350 people sharing time and space together for three days takes an indefatigable team with one shared goal. The Blackpool Transport team combined seamlessly with the team from Nottingham City Transport who ran a faultless back-office and the logistics group from Blackpool. Thank you to everyone involved for your dedication to delivering a new style conference.
For operators my plea is that take what you learned about the importance of the SME sector, bus speeds, technology, people and our regulator into your businesses and use it as quickly as possible. A skill not used perishes quietly but quickly.
My final thank you is for the suppliers that are the rock on which the conference is built. It is your innovation that drivers much of the change within the SME sector, and I want to acknowledge the support you give ALBUM as conference attendees, associate members, critical friends and sponsors for the conference.
Please plan ahead and make those changes we sign-posted for you and I hope to see you at the next bus industry event and especially in Reading at ALBUM Conference 2027.
