A leading bus operator has enhanced its capability to offer safe, reliable and cost- effective coach hire for any occasion across Berkshire, North Hampshire and the Thames Valley.
Newbury & District, the sister company of Reading Buses, have further improved their modern, low emission fleet of buses and coaches with the delivery of two brand new, fully accessible Volvo Plaxton coaches.
The two coaches, which were built in the UK, add to the existing environmentally friendly fleet at Newbury & District and will assist to improve accessibility and reduce car dependency in the local area.
The company operates local routes in and around Newbury and their services include student transport to local schools, some of whom have already been upgraded to the new coaches.
Said Chief Executive Officer Robert Williams: “We have a range of modern vehicles for hire, including buses, coaches, double deckers and an open topper, many with seat belts and a range of options including toilets, space for luggage, wheelchair access and much more.
“We have a range of sizes providing eight to 86 seats, and can provide hire for school trips, corporate travel, airport transfers, weddings, day trips and events for long or short-term contract hire.
“Most of our vehicles have Euro 6 engines which means they meet the newest emissions standards. This allows entry into London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone because they emit fewer particulates than a single modern car.
“Hiring a bus or coach from us will be better for air quality and the environment than a fleet of cars.”
Robert continued: “We understand that venues and museums are seeing a jump in enquiries as Covid restrictions ease as well as schools planning their summer trips out.
“So it is a great opportunity to ask about travel and coach hire.”
