Yellow Buses to help bring families together for Family Fest in Wimborne

Yellow Buses are proud to be the travel partner of Family Fest, a family festival set to bring families and the community together when it takes place in Wimborne this weekend.

Family Fest 2021 marks the fourth year of the event, taking place on Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th July between 11am to 7pm at The Meadows on the outskirts of Wimborne Minster.

Yellow Buses will be providing a free minibus shuttle service to take festival-goers from Wimborne town centre to the festival site that is available for all Yellow Buses ticket holders.

Fiona Harwood, Marketing and Sales manager from Yellow Buses said: “As a locally owned and locally operated business, we are very pleased to be supporting Family Fest this year.  After the tough year everyone has had, it’s great to be bringing families together again”.

The line-up for this year’s Family Fest includes:

  • 50+ traders from Dorset & surrounding counties in a Traders Village
  • 20+ hours of live music across two stages from local artists
  • Licensed bar providing local artisan gins, soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits
  • Burgers, hot dogs, nachos, Mexican and chicken wraps in a Food Corner
  • Mascot appearances from Tooth Fairy & Y-Man across the weekend
  • Charity Dog show by Waggy Tails Rescue with a selection of different competitions including Temptation Alley, Best 6 Legs, Best Rescue, Waggiest Tail and more
  • Family Funfair including tea cups, bungee trampolines, play centre and hook-a-duck
  • Inflatable Zone including redo bull, mega slide, bungee run, sumo suits, bouncy castles and splat the rat
  • Eco Hub with Our Planet Zero Waste
  • Active Zone with Beryl
  • Family & Friends Fun Zone

Delivered by a small team of festival creators and festival makers from Bournemouth and Wimborne, all of the events team have a passion for community events and bringing families together.

Rob Batson, the founder of the festival said: “Family Fest is about spreading the love and joy and after the last year we are doing just this, this coming weekend. On our new site in Wimborne, we have plenty to do and see across the weekend in the Wimborne countryside”.

He went on to say, “We are proud to have connected with many local businesses including Yellow Buses, which have supported our event for 2021. As well as this, we are keen to support local and are promoting to visit Wimborne while at our event. we look forward to meeting you this coming weekend.”
