New Marketing Appointment At Reading Buses

A journalism graduate has joined Reading Buses as their new Marketing and PR Executive.

Tom Broadfoot, who gained his degree at Edge Hill University, has 15 years experience of creating media content.

After gaining his degree in 2010 he became a Digital Media Account Manager before taking up an appointment as a Marketing Officer at Prospect School.

From there he moved to Henley Business School where he spent three years as Senior Digital Content Executive.

Of his move to Reading Buses, he said today: “I’m really excited to get to work at such a vibrant and forward-facing organisation.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with our community to make sure Reading people have pride in the service we provide.

‘I am learning that the bus business is a complex one, but I’d better get my head around it quickly as I can’t drive so they can’t exactly get me out behind the wheel of the purple 17 if I’m no good at this bit.”

Tom, who is 34 and lives in Newbury, is married and his hobbies are kayaking and the theatre.
