With the confidence to get out and about for social events as well as going back to the office, travel has changed – and so have Reading Buses ticket options.
Customers can now choose between three main advance tickets: a traditional 7-day ticket, daysaver5 and easysaver10.
Within the simplyReading zone any of these flexible options cost just £16 – a saving of at least 20%.
Reading Buses Marketing and PR Executive Tom Broadfoot said today the company were keen to show the people of Reading how to find the best fit for their new ‘normal.’
“We have listened to customers to give the growing group of hybrid and remote workers control over how they use their tickets – and get the travel they have paid for.
“Many office workers are now only travelling two or three days a week and Reading Buses will help support them in going back to the office.
“Our tickets now mean they should never have the feeling of having lost out on what they have paid for. So whether on a bus for work, a night out with friends or to go shopping, we are aiming to give customers a ticket that fits their life.”
daysaver5 gives customers five all-day tickets to purchase on the app. If the five tickets are not used within the week they simply stay on the app for another time.
easysaver10 gives 10 single tickets without any expiry. And weekly tickets allow unlimited travel for seven days.
There are also 30 day, 90 day and year round ticket options – costing just £16 within the simplyReading zone.
Said Robert Williams, Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer: “The new products allow customers total flexibility on their travel. Customers can pick the days they travel.
“They will save money, at least 20%, and often more. They will only pay for the days they want – no expiry, no catches.”
