The achievement of the England Lionesses in reaching the Women’s Euro 2022 final on Sunday has gripped the entire nation – and Reading Buses are also showing their support.
The bus operator has added a header saying Come on Lionesses! #hergametoo to all tickets issued on-bus in the build-up to the Euro final.
“We wish the Lionesses every success in their bid to beat Germany,” said Robert Williams, Chief Executive Officer at Reading Buses who explained that the hashtag is part of the wider campaign to fight against sexism in football.
Support for the Lionesses in their bid to beat Germany is not unique – Reading Buses also acknowledged the achievement of the England men’s team in reaching the final of the European Championships last year.
“We are now delighted to celebrate this latest soccer accomplishment,” Robert added.
