GOOD NEWS FOR GREEN LINE 702 CUSTOMERS

August 16, 2021

As Reading Buses continue to run their Green Line service during the busy summer season in Windsor, there is more good news for customers.

Green Line 702 will be gaining an extra high specification double deck bus.

The special double decker bus will be a permanent fixture for the Green Line operation and forms part of the company’s plan to provide the best possible journey experience ahead of investing in new vehicles in the coming years.

The high spec bus will replace one of Reading Buses’ ‘silver generic’ vehicles that has formed Reading Buses Green Line fleet since the company started running the Green Line 702 service in December 2017.

The bus will feature extra comfortable high-back leather effect seats for added comfort, a glazed staircase and sky lights for a great view as well as USB charging and superfast free WiFi for a productive commute.

Said Robert Williams, Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer: “With the latest announcement that we have started our summer timetable on Green Line 702 and 703, including the re-introduction of Green Line 701 express journeys to Legoland for the peak season, we are excited to be bringing another hi-spec bus into the Green Line family.

“We know that Green Line is an iconic brand in the home counties, synonymous with travel between London, Slough and Windsor – so being able to swap one of our ‘silver generic’ buses for a branded vehicle is very important.”

Added Robert: “Summer has always been a time when Green Line sees families from Bracknell, Slough and Windsor head to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort as well as people enjoying days out to London or Windsor, all of which can be done using Green Line.
