Warrington’s Own Buses is excited to announce that Andy Rigby has been promoted to Head of Commercial. Andy has had a long and successful career in the transportation industry, starting from a young age and gaining valuable experience along the way.
Andy began his journey in transportation at 16 as a cleaner at Hiltons Travel while still in school. He balanced work with his studies at Liverpool John Moores University, where he also worked part-time as an Operations Assistant at Eavesway Travel. After graduating, he quickly moved up the ranks to become Operations Manager, handling various tasks like overseeing coach operations and managing cruise ship logistics.
In 2016, Andy took on a new challenge at Tyrers, managing their operations at the Farnworth depot, focusing on school bus services. In 2022, he joined Warrington’s Own Buses as Project Manager, successfully leading the depot’s relocation from Wilderspool Causeway to Dallam Lane. He then served as Head of Facilities, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the depot. Now, as Head of Commercial, Andy will be responsible for driving commercial strategies, building partnerships, and improving customer experience.
Commenting on his promotion, Andy Rigby said “I am excited to work in this new role. My journey within the transportation industry has been immensely fulfilling, and I am excited to leverage my experience to contribute to the company’s continued success”.
