March 30, 2021

Beach Bus

Good Friday, 2 April, marks the return of Buster’s Beach Bus to Bournemouth, and this year, there are two routes.

In recent weeks Bournemouth’s Beach has been voted one of the top beaches in the UK by One Poll.  Trip Advisor rated Bournemouth’s Beach in the top 5 in Europe and Top 20 in the World.  Bournemouth as a resort to visit has been voted in the top 10 of UK destination by Expedia.

Industry experts are saying that bookings have risen by 60% for UK Staycation holidays this year, and what better way to see the wonderful Dorset Coast from Bournemouth to Christchurch than by having the wind blow through your hair on top of Busters Beach Bus with fantastic views of Old Harry Rocks off the Purbeck Coast, to glimpses of Sandbanks Beach and amazing views of the iconic Needles lighthouse on the Isle of Wight.  Buster’s Beach Bus route 12 will take you away every hour travelling from Alum Chine through Westbourne and Westcliff, to Bournemouth Pier along the East Cliff with those amazing views dropping down to Boscombe Pier, enabling you to see the best of what Bournemouth has to offer.

New for this year is Buster’s Beach Bus 11, which connects with the 12 at Bournemouth Pier and takes in Hengistbury Head, Christchurch (for the Priory and Quay) and finishing at Mudeford, linking some amazing destinations together for the first time in many years, our open-toppers really do offer a seat with a view!

Simon Newport, Commercial Director for Yellow Buses said, ‘We have invested over £100,000 in newer vehicles for Buster’s Beach Bus and we are really excited about our plans for Summer 2021. We wanted to start the services at the earliest opportunity to give local residents the opportunity to get out and about as soon as the weather starts getting warmer!’

He continued, ‘We have a great range of tickets to simply travel on Busters Beach Bus today, or for a couple of days.  Ideal if you are staying in a hotel on the East Cliff or in Westcliff customers can hop on and hop off using Busters Beach Bus as the way into town or down to the beach.  We have tickets for families who are visiting for the day or for two or three days.  All tickets can be found at our website www.yellowbuses.co.uk’.

Full details of these services can be found on our website at www.yellowbuses.co.uk .  English Concessionary passes can also be used on these services all day Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays and after 0930 Monday to Friday.
