A READING BUSES SUNDAY SERVICE FOR LATE MAY BANK HOLIDAY

May 26, 2021

All Reading Buses routes – including Green Line 702/703 – will be running to a Sunday service on the late May Bank Holiday, the company announced today.

Reading Buses say customers can check their normal timetable booklets or go online or via the Reading Buses app to check their times for buses on the May 31 Spring Bank Holiday.

With restrictions now eased for indoor entertainment, the company is reminding family bubbles about their ‘great value’ group tickets.

During the bank holiday, and throughout half term, the simplyReading group ticket will be at a reduced rate of £6 – normally £9 – and the simplyNetwork version is £10 – normally £15.

Said Robert Williams, Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer: “With cinemas, theatres and other indoor venues now able to invite customers back through their doors, we are expecting this bank holiday to start feeling more ‘normal’ and for customers to return to our buses.

“And as more venues open, we expect family bubbles to take advantage of the reduced fares during the bank holiday.

“The tickets allow up to four to travel together all day – any combination of adults and children.

“We would also remind customers that, as is now the norm, they must wear face coverings – unless exempt – when travelling on the bus.”
