Exciting Innovations: Ticketer at Euro Bus Expo 2024

November 8, 2024

Ahead of the Euro Bus Expo next week, here’s a preview of Ticketer’s recent innovations that visitors to Stand 180 will get to experience…

 The Ticketer Insights Hub

In an increasingly digital world, having access to data that’s aggregated in a clear and usable way is essential for improving services. Cue the Ticketer Insights Hub.

Ticketer’s powerful suite of Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards consolidates critical metrics and transforms them into actionable insights, enabling operators to drill into operational detail, identify trends and make informed decisions and adjustments that can deliver better service and cost savings.

Included within existing Ticketer customer license fees, Ticketer will be showcasing this innovative platform at Euro Bus Expo where visitors can discover how it unlocks insights across Passenger Boarding, Passenger Occupancy, Tap On / Tap Off, and Schedule Adherence, (coming soon).

Road Restrictions Alerts (RRA)

Visitors to Euro Bus Expo will also be able to learn about Ticketer’s recently enhanced Road Restriction Alerts (RRA) solution, providing customers with more comprehensive control over on-road disruptions.

Ticketer has recently updated this solution at no additional cost for existing RRA customers, enabling operators to proactively avoid a wider range of obstacles and deliver a smoother, more reliable service.

New features include ‘Navigational’ restrictions such as ‘No Left Turn’ or ‘No Right Turn,’ and fully customisable, free text ‘Hazard’ alerts for any type of on-road disruption, e.g. floods or debris. Operators can also set restriction timeframes to streamline alert management, reducing the need for manual deletions.

These updates build on the existing height and width restrictions typically used for low bridges, offering a robust toolset for more efficient route management.

Ticketer’s VoIP Solution

Ticketer is also excited to unveil its upcoming VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) solution for the first time at Euro Bus, designed to allow operators and drivers to talk via the Ticketer Next Gen ETM and support the UK bus sector’s shift towards more connected, compliant operations.

Seamlessly integrated within Ticketer’s existing digital ecosystem and utilising existing on bus hardware, their VoIP solution will enable operators to communicate directly with drivers, control centres, and emergency services on route changes, delays, or critical events, enhancing safety and operational efficiency without reliance on traditional phone or radio networks.

Ticketer Next Generation ETM

Building on the leading functionality of its predecessor but with improvements to usability and efficiency, the Ticketer Next Generation ETM will also be in action this Euro Bus Expo.

Key features include an Android tablet for the driver console, a new card reader that accelerates contactless payments and accepts all major payment methods, including Amex, plus performance improvements to processing and memory.

The team will also be on-hand to discuss the Next Generation ETM’s cost-effective component upgrade path, designed so existing Ticketer ETM customers need only upgrade the necessary parts to receive the latest functionality rather than replacing the entire machine.

Be sure to visit stand 180 within the Technology Zone at Euro Bus Expo 2024 to meet the Ticketer team and their latest innovations.
