Reading Buses have announced some special buses running on their services to help celebrate the long Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
The company designed a special Jubilee bus which will be running on Green Line 702 and passes Windsor Castle and finishes at Buckingham Palace Road from tomorrow (Thursday) until Sunday.
The bus will run on Green Line 702 for the whole weekend and will leave Reading on the 8.40 am journey and will return at 7.25 pm – with other journeys occurring throughout the day.
The company have also confirmed that their open top bus will be running on purple 17 (weather permitting) – which will be its first appearance of the year. The bus will be running tomorrow (Thursday), Friday and Sunday between 9.24 and 5.52 pm with the timetable advertised on the Reading Buses website www.reading-buses.co.uk – customers can find this in the ‘Things to do’ section.
There is also a fantastic offer for customers in West Berkshire over the four-day weekend. Anyone boarding a bus within the boundary of West Berkshire will get their journey for free.
This applies to all Reading Buses services – although customers are advised that only their journey from West Berkshire is free – if people return from Reading for example, they will need to pay for that journey. Newbury & District will be running an expanded range of services with free travel for the whole journey when boarding in West Berks.
