We have also celebrated the amazing work of our employees as key workers as well as their amazing teamwork keeping services running throughout the 2020 and 2021 lockdowns.

“We’ve gone above and beyond to help customers adjust to the ‘new normal’ with our new daysaver5, especially designed for flexible or hybrid workers with no extra fees and no strings attached.

“Unite the Union at Reading Buses even set up a foodbank to help colleagues who had fallen on hard times. Combined with a fleet of 61 bio-methane powered buses and the rest now upgraded to meet the latest emissions standards, buses are also helping air quality in Reading too.”

Added Robert: “In unusual times, we’ve done everything we can to help people travel and to keep our customers safe. The key element is that it is not just one group of people who benefit.

“Whether it’s our employees, our customers, or Reading’s population as a whole, the results are far ranging, from supporting the local economy to safety and caring for the environment. Through a range of measures, we’ve shown we really care about Reading – and are set to rebuild following Covid.”
