A unique bus campaign designed to showcase some of the great events and attractions of a vibrant, pioneering and historic town is in progess.
Reading Buses has been sharing some of the many exciting and thought-provoking places to visit within their operating network.
The MyReading campaign made a historic start by highlighting the new events at Reading Abbey this summer.
The message to residents and visitors is check their social media and the ‘Reading Buses things to do section’ of the website and app to be reminded of some unique, inspiring experiences for all ages to enjoy by bus.
Tom Broadfoot, Reading Buses newly appointed Marketing and PR Executive, said today: “We are lucky to live in a town that is world-beating in culture.
“As we have left lockdown and subsequent restrictions, it is a great opportunity to explore lots of re-opening attractions – many for free – that are on the doorstep and even closer than a normal commute to work.
“We are working constantly to make travel safer and more convenient to use and when we suggest events in the coming weeks residents can be assured they are just a bus away – maybe two – from their front door.”
Tom added: “If anyone thinks of places or events we’ve missed, or just wishes to celebrate the experience of Reading in the sunshine, they can use the hashtag #justabusaway or tag the company in their update.”
The MyReading campaign, which is on the Reading Buses Facebook and Twitter accounts, is being considered for a further run later in the year and Reading Buses would welcome suggestions.
