Yellow Buses joined with other local businesses to once again co-sponsor the Dorset Tourist Awards, the final ceremony with the crowning of the winners was held virtually on 4 February.
The DTA’s are now in their 8th year, there were some 91 entries across a broad range of categories, that were whittled down by the judges into 60 finalists on the day.
We sponsored two categories, firstly the Accessibility Inclusive Tourism Award, the winner being Holiday in Dorset – Birchcroft, and secondly the Visitor Information Service of the year, was won by Bridport Tourist Information Centre.
David Squire, Managing Director, commented, “This was our second year as a sponsor of the event, given the times we find ourselves in currently, it is important for the tourism industry to come together locally to reward success and inspire future winners. As a locally owned company, in an area heavily reliant on tourism, we were once again delighted to be a sponsor and we look forward to next year’s ceremony, hopefully able to meet in person, our warmest congratulations to all the winners”.
